The Maze Runner Series Movies
THE MAZE RUNNER is a dystopian thriller based on James Dashner's best-selling YA book trilogy. The action starts immediately, with an elevator taking a scared teenage guy, Thomas (Dylan O'Brien), up into the unknown. When the doors open, he's introduced to the Glade, a mysterious all-boy commune surrounded by an even more mysterious Maze that changes every day and is home to killer mechanized bugs called "Grievers." Every month, the elevator delivers supplies and a new amnesiac resident. None of the imprisoned boys can remember anything but their names, with the newest guy being Thomas. He learns that the Glade residents are divided into groups with specific jobs -- builders, farmers, healers, and the bravest of the group, the runners who go out into the Maze hoping to map it. Thomas' arrival coincides with a series of strange occurrences, the strangest of which is the too-soon arrival of another "greenie," a girl (Kaya Scodelario) who has a note attached to her. ("She's the last one ever.") Realizing that their prospects of surviving without any more supplies are slim, Thomas convinces a small group to face the dangers of the Maze and look for a way out of their bizarre captivity.
The Maze Runner Series Movies
Even though this series starts stronger than it finishes, it feels like a cohesive vision. And Ball should be lauded for making three movies from the three books and not adapting the final book into two movies, a creative mistake studios have made with other series, albeit one that comes with easy-to-see financial rewards.

Enter the maze...Thomas has no idea who he is or where he is from. He only remembers his name. And he's not alone. The Maze Runner cast is a group of other boys, the Gladers, who welcome him to the Glade, a place far from anywhere else on the planet, surrounded by a giant maze made of tall stone walls. Thomas has no idea what is beyond the maze, but there's only one way for him to find out. And once he crosses it, defying the terrible Grievers, half-machine, half-animal creatures, there is no turning back. As always, HBO Max never disappoints with the new movies that dropped on the first of December. There's something for everybody, from dystopian teen action flicks to psychological dramas to late Halloween flicks for those who miss the spooky season. On the TV side, Gossip Girl is back for a second season, the anticipated Murdoch family docuseries has dropped, and the obscure comedy Sort Of returns for a sophomore season. With all this to choose from, there's an abundance of outstanding entertainment to choose from on HBO Max this weekend.
Five books and two (soon-to-be three) movies later, it's all over: The Maze Runner series is coming to a close with the release of The Fever Code, book five in the #1 New York Times bestselling series. Author James Dashner tells Bustle that saying goodbye to Thomas, the Gladers, and the world of The Maze Runner is "definitely bittersweet."
Aml has gone on appear in movies like Beyond the Lights, Soy Nero, Lila & Eve and the upcoming Run Sweetheart Run, Charming the Hearts of Men and A Night Worth Living. He also starred in TV series like Sense8, The Left Right Game and I May Destroy You, among others.
Then again, disregard the January numbers and a third Maze Runner starts to make a whole lot of financial sense. The Maze Runner films are often lumped into the same category as the Divergent and Hunger Games series, each of which saw diminishing returns at the box office over the years. But making the comparison to those movies ignores how much Ball and his team have been able to accomplish on a mid-tier budget.
Presumably the three adaptations are of The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, and The Death Cure, the three part series that follows Thomas, Newt, Minho, and Teresa as they uncover the mysteries of the maze and outside world. 350c69d7ab
